Hi Toshi, good photo, nice lighting and composition. I'm just curious why you decided to use a lightsource from the left; letting it enter from the right (Or turning the face of the watch a bit more towards the camera) would've made the clockwork stand out a bit more, if you see what I mean. I like the low key background, though. Good photo!

Cheers,

Hugo

Hi Toshi!

I Agree with Hugos Assesment of this shot.

Everything about it Speaks of a fantastic Watch ad.
I Like the Low-key BG and the Fantastic Details you have in it!
If you would have had the Watch flipped horizontally, the BG would be the same but the details of that Awesome Watch Face would have popped a bit more.
None the less, this is still one Great Image!!!
Well done my friend.
Best Regards

Sam

PS Thanks for all your comments on my images!

Hi Hugo,
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. For this little photoshoot, I tried a couple positions for the watch - and one of them was indeed a head-on shot to show the face of the clock more. Lighting position was less of an option for me as the light source used was a large lighting fixture from my aquarium and isn't readily moveable.

For this particular capture, the lack of impact from the clock face was the one thing I didn't really like about it and both you and Sam have confirmed that. I did like the angle though to add a bit of depth to the photo. Positioning it towards the other side gave me some trouble with reflection so I choose to angle it as it's shown. Either way, I think I'll try uploading the head-on shot next. Thanks again.

Thanks Sam, appreciate your comments. As I've mentioned to Hugo, I agree with the lack of impact from the clock face - but I do have another head-on shot of the watch which I'll be uploading next. Thanks again for taking the time to comment!

Good record/commercial shot. Excellent macro and lighting.

This is also very nice simular scene with a nice tilt to the watch, I think the perspective changes the whole effect from the first shot i viewed, was wondering if you though that tilting it the opposite way as to see the top of the watch would make a better perspective..
excellent work.

Just a real neat shot!! This could go into a magazine without any trouble... Great angle, details, DOF and composition... well done!!
