About A basic set for European flavored movies made here at Universal Studios, Hollywood. Decorated in a variety of ways, this was used for a number of horror movies and waits for the next scene to be filmed "On Location" in Europe! Coverted to B&W to get the old horror movie 'feel' back.

A great dark and sinister mood created here Doyle and the right decision to convert to these wonderful mono tones my friend. Great lighting effect from the time of day and an excellent perspective. All the best....Ray

this is wonderful! i love the b&w. i can't remember seeing this in any movies - then again, we don't watch so many!

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100828} 7/7/2006
Thanks Jessie . . . I'm not surprised to note it's unfamiliar. It's a base set . . . they bring in plants, signs, a myriad of different props . . . The same set cannot be easily recognized in any two movies. http://www.usefilm.com/image/1129308.html is an image my wife had put up of the outside of buildings used in numerous movies. It had Bruce Almighty and the scene looked so different with cars parked, signs and even full grown trees. The buildings on her street scene are only 6 feet deep . . . just deep enough to open a door and walk in! Really an amazing place and this was my first visit so (with my camera) I'm quite sure I was a typical tourist!!
:)

This looks like a shot what could have been taken in the domaine of Dracula somewhere in eastern Europe, Romania I guess. They did a good job over there at Universal. The B&W brings this picture back to the last part of the 18th century.
When there was less sun and more heavy clouds the picture would be perfect, now it's only great...LoL.
Well done my friend, great shot,

Klaas

Thanks Klaas! I agree . . . a more dramatic sky would be breathtaking!
