Randy Lorance   {K:24769} 7/2/2006
I like the composition a lot but prefer the color or BW. It may be that the sepia toning is just a little too strong. Just my HO.

Randy

Oh, thanks, Randy, for your comments!

I just had to sneak a sepia one in there somewhere! I've done every other version - I might as well do this one, as well! LOL

I appreciate your opinion and commments!

Cheers

Oh, thanks, Jeanette!

I'm glad you like the sepia version. Not everybody will! I guess it's all just a matter of opinion. I just wanted to sneak in a sepia version before I complete this series!

Thanks for you your comments and support! It's much appreciated!

Cheers

Doesn't work in sepia Phillip (in my opinion) . . . and, as you well know, this is my favorite shot of the series in B&W so - as they say, ". . . if it ain't broken; don't fix it!"
(I can understand why you put it up though).

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Phillip  Minnis    {K:13535} 7/6/2006
Doyle, I did this one for the 'fun' of it!

However, I have to be honest and say, I've looked at it a few times and nearly deleted it! For the time being, I'll leave it on here. I am sure that at some point in the future, it will irritate me sufficiently to make me take it off the site!! LOL It certainly is not my favourite!!!

Thanks for your comments!

Cheers

Phil

Hey, Doyle, I can't believe it - the judges have awarded this image a BIP.

I have nearly deleted it a number of times! I honestly am amazed! I thought the B&W one had the best chance! I am blown away!

Oh, well, I think I will leave it here, now! LOL

Doyle, I'm with you - the B&W one does it best for me too! However, I'm not going to argue with the judges!

Cheers

Phil

Way to go Phillip! Maybe the Abstract Supersaturated Dome will get EC next!!!!
-
I don't get it. I probably never will. But a lesson has been learned here. We lowly photographers have NO idea how to judge! Do our best and put it up . . . and LEAVE it there! Got it! I'd rather shoot photos than judge between all these great shots anyway.
-
It occurs to me now, too, that the judges get criticized (albeit anonymously) as much as our work does . . .
-
Stand by . . . A BiP may be in the works for the B&W too. Not The Piano Teacher B&W . . . but the Church by the Lake (Reflections)!
-
Thrilled for you my friend - very cool payoff for what was clearly a lot of work!
-
Now if I could just get a proper model . . .

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Phillip  Minnis    {K:13535} 7/7/2006
Oh, Doyle, thanks for your comments! I'm with you....I can't pick them. I'm not going to try. I'm just going to put them up and take what comes!!!!

Now, how can we find you a model???? There must be some out of work, aged, actor, looking to restart a career, who would, gladly, let you take their portrait in order to be noticed???? LOL Go out today and find one!!! LOL LOL

Mate, I know what you mean. I tried to get my wife and daughters to give me the chance to make them look bad in a photo...... they would not be in it.... I just don't know why not!!!! LOL

Good luck.....you'll find someone willing......one day!!! LOL

Cheers

Phil
