Nice shot Jeanette. Title perfectly captures the capture :) I think the colors are too nice to go BW, I like this better.

Randy

Howie Mudge   {K:25680} 7/2/2006
Looking at both of these captures (colour and b&w) my preference is the black and white one, but its pretty close to call tbh :)

Anne Knes   {K:49200} 7/3/2006
Beautiful.

Mark Drago   {K:10902} 7/3/2006
this series is just spectacular Jeanette, here and the other site. a wonderful sense of Sweden also.

Mark Sherman   {K:15520} 7/3/2006
The color one makes it almost feel joyful. The black and white for me feels just a bit to serious for relaxing. Can feel the cool warmth of this. makes you want to be there

Alicia Popp   {K:84586} 7/3/2006
Preciosa imagen. las rocas sus colores y sus texturas, la modelo y el fondo con ese espectacular cielo... una maravilla!

João Magalhães   {K:2064} 7/3/2006
I'm *terribly* upset for commenting on something other than photo quality, that's really not my way in the world etc etc etc and all that but... Oh! Ooooh!

Marco D.S.   {K:5723} 7/3/2006
The same photo, in two versions: I like as the b/w one as the colored one. They seem like two different photos, this one with fantastic colors, the other image I prefer for a portrait. Nice job, Jeanette!
Ciao, Marco

Paolo Corradini   {K:52824} 7/3/2006
so more attractive in colors..

Mary Slade   {K:40918} 7/3/2006

stingRay part 2 .   {K:148553} 7/3/2006
It is good to have the benefit of both versions dear Jeanette and on this occasion I have gone for this colour one. There are some wonderful tones and textures in the rocks that don't look quite as good in mono. An excellent moody cloud formation with that lovely rich blue further afield. Well done to you my dear. All the best....Ray

Renata Lepage   {K:2674} 7/3/2006

ciao

João Magalhães   {K:2064} 7/4/2006
It's nothing, really. My main comment was on the model: "Oooh! Oh!".

But most of my verbosity was about how I felt by commenting on the model instead of the photo.

(Of course we must keep in mind that the photograph did work!)

At any rate, it seems that yesterday I wrote lots of things impossible to understand here and there, lol.

The bottom line is: congratulations to you both, photographer and model.

PS - Yo también no entiendo español :-)))

Andrzej Pradzynski   {K:21606} 7/7/2006
Jeanette, one would frankly ask what's really good about the picture, it's just as simple as many vacation shots people take daily but this simple scene amazes with colors, composition and cleareness. It's simple and very relaxing to watch but same time strong and magnetized. Cheers, n.j

Mitchell Miller   {K:3016} 7/7/2006

James Philip Pegg   {K:10138} 7/24/2006
A wonderful catch my friend, I love the colours, rock, her dress, clouds, good pose, most lovely lady. Warmly, James

Mark Longo   {K:12757} 8/4/2006
A very interesting contrast between the color and B&W versions you have posted of this shot. Both have different merits. The color version allows the color of the dress to create a very very strong focal point for the eye, making the person appear as the center of attention and as a visitor to the landscape in the shot. The B&W version causes the tones of the dress to blend more readily with the surroundings, making the person appear more a part of her surroundings.

My personal preference is for the color version as I appreciate this shot as a portrait, rather than a landscape. As a portrait I think this one is more interesting. But with that said, the B&W version is also quite attractive as it leads my eye to appreciate the patterns and textures of the surroundings more, not so distracted by the differences in colors. Excellent work here Jeanette!

Mark
