About These Northern Harriers were shot through tall reeds while standing on my bike. I had to shoot wide open to blurr the grass and reeds that were covering these hawks. Just wanted to show you what an exciting experience I had shooting these hawks. They actually seemed to be looking back at me as well.

Hi Jinggoy, you certainly have a creative side to you, this capture has a real artistic feel to it and is very appealing, I like how you used the reeds to your advantage rather than let them be a distraction, excellent work my friend. By the way I shot today at the as we call it egret lake LOL, had many great ops and poses only to find out when i got home that I was at -1/3 ev and should have been atleast -2/3rds if not a full stop! so I will be returning soon.....

Thanks Marcus. I was balancing on the bike and manually focusing the camera. The AF would hunt and I'd get the reeds in focus. The VR really helped me a lot on this. I'll be bringing a step stool on the next shoot here :-)

If you were shooting in Raw, can't you recover the photos?
Drop me a line when you're in the area. Today and tomorrow will be a bit busy again. Take care!

So well captured. To have got so many and so close. Again the warmth of this is wonderful.

Hi Jinggoy - love the warm colors to this and definately a great shot. Amazing to capture so many all at once and with each bird having a different pose. The way you used the grass is perfect - gives me the feeling that I'm there hiding and viewing these beautiful birds. Nicely shot!

Awesome capture Jinggoy,
In rare occasions I had seen only one of these guys perched. And you got 4 of them together!!!
Congratulations for this pic, even under very difficult environmental circunstances you were able to get a superb image.
Take care buddy.
Yamil
BTW. Good luck with the borrowing owls. Take advantage now that they are “available”. It doesn’t look like they are going to stick around for too long.
