I just left Italy, my last four photo's are from our holidays at the "Lago d'Iseo" from june 12th till the 1st of july from this year, and 4 years ago we were at the "Lago d'Iseo" also. So probably next year we spend our hollidays on the "Lago di Mergozzo" when the finances are on a good level. We love the north of Italy with all the lakes, but I think the "Lago di Garda" becomes more and more a touristic area, with very touristic prices. We went to Salou for one day, and a cup of Cappuccino was 2,60 in euro, and in the Iseo area 1.10/1.20, a big difference. Still the area is wonderful.
Best regards,

Klaas

Oh, you say the truth! Nothings better of Lago di Como! When the Euro has replaced the old Lira the prices of everything are doubled! 1 Euro=1.936,27 Lire..but every traders use this change 1 Euro=1.000 Lire..so, if the Cappuccino was cost 2.000 Lire, it would have to cost 1.03 Euro..instead it cost 2 Euro or more..it's INCREDIBLE! All it's doubled..except the wages!
Well..'see' you later..
Ciao, Ale

Klaas  Baas   {K:15108} 7/19/2006
Thanks for your reply Ale, I talked to a Taxidriver in Bressanone, he asked me about the Euro and Holland, but it is the same over here, and I was in Germany, the same story too, but all our salary is cut in halve. We have to pay 2,20371 guilder for every Euro, so our Salary is more than halve from what it was, but as you say, you get for one euro wat you're used to get for one guilder. It's a shame, but you better get used to that, because they never change it back again.
Ciao,

Klaas

Alessandro Capelli   {K:34632} 7/19/2006
Everywehere is always the same 'story'..we have to spend more and more and more..
Ihave to sleep now..and tomorrow at work! Sigh..I want holydays!
Ciao, Ale
