Thank you very much. This was my first time trying still life and I like it a lot. I will definitely try more sometime.

Great shot Carlen.

Leave it to a Canadian to make art out of alcohol.

All the best,
Ed

Hey Carlen!
Don't know what Edward meant about making art out of alcohol . . . I make my art AFTER alcohol! :)
This is a very good and refreshing image . . . I think I would tweak the brightness and midtones just a hair to make it lighter overall without losing definition. Your image is fine but (IMO) the brighter image would convey the refreshing theme even more.
___A couple of things to try for future shots
. . . since most alcohol doesn't freeze . . . you could freeze the bottle a bit and then wipe only the label making the bottle frosty.
. . . you could use a household mister and spray one side of the bottle only . . . making perspiration on the bottle accentuates the quenching nature of it.
. . . get a low level backlight to eliminate shadows which distract from the image like the shadow above the glass in this image.

Good capture my friend and I think you may have a natural gift for the still life shots . . .

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

I make my art AFTER alcohol! :)

haha

Anyway thanks for the critique/comments. I was hoping someone would mention the shadow.

I will look at the brightness again and see what I can come up with. I already brightened it a lot from the original image but I can see it could use more.
