i need a briefing about te technique you are using in this wonderful series Howie; i'd crop a bit at the top because the hot spot is a bit distracting...jd

Howie, this is looks great with the long exposure. Fantastic effect, I just read some great insights to the technique in latest British "Practical Photography" magazine on my way back from Europe. I wonder if this was likely the source of the inspiration to shoot the scene this way. Brilliant effect. Cheers, NJ

Nick Karagiaouroglou   {K:89303} 10/12/2006
Fantastic shot! It really transmits the suggestive thought of time passing by, but in many different pictures in my head. One of them is a long exposure at the sea and the rocks. Another is the summits of the mountains over the sea of clouds. Same phenomena in different time scales? Your photo suggests that focusing on the main factor that anything needs in order to evolve: Time!

Technically speaking it is a very nice work, that kept all the details of the rocks while the rest is blurred in motion.

Great, keep it up!

Nick
