| About |
The Freedom Stone is the cornerstone of the new Freedon Tower to be built where the World Trade Center (Twin Towers) once stood. It will be located 5 stories below street level, on the foundation of the WTC. It is a memorial stone to all those that died that day. The grounds area still contain many unidentify body parts, the recovery continues. The stone was from a quarry in the Adirondack Mountains, NY studded with garnets, which is the state gemstone of New York. The raw unfinish stone cost $14,000 plus the cost of transportation, cutting, finishing, engraving and installation. Because the stone is sacred, installed in a formal declaration, it is being donated by the company. The finish stone weighs 20 tons, is approx 5 ft high and 9 feet wide, 1 1/2 thick. All the letters are silver inlaid. It will remain at its present location till its ready to be installed. It can be viewed by appointment at: Innovative Stone, 130 Motor Parkway, Hauppauge, NY 11788 call for appointment at 631 273 4445 For more information, visit http://www.innovativestone.com/pressroom.html
