Interesting how the light hits the flower showing of the many colors in the flower.

Christine Lewis   {K:2758} 7/12/2006
I love the lighting and the little bugs, one hiding in the shade, a lovely and colourful shot,
Chris.

Giuseppe Guadagno   {K:33999} 7/12/2006
Thanks very much Lana for your interest. In fact the petals are cyclamen-coloured while the outer sepals are green/yellow.
Cheers.

Giuseppe

Ciao Giuseppe, questa e veramente bella,l' insetto sul petalo per quanto piccolo calamita l'attenzione
belle poi le sfumature dei colori del fiore in luce naturale, mi ripeto bellissima...

Maurizio

Guiseppe, perfect definition of the object and interesting layout. All that gives very strong expression and spiritual feel. Wonderfull colors and well ballanced contrasts. Proficient and elegant job indeed, Cheers, NJ

Bill Voizin   {K:10556} 7/13/2006
Never saw a lily with pink AND yellow petals...very interesting. And the bug...nice two for one picture Giuseppe! Regards--Bill Voizin

Gabriela Tanaka   {K:17991} 7/13/2006
This is so beautiful, dear Giuseppe! The colour playing on the flower makes it look so sensual! You are a Master of Light & Shadow interplay! I would try also the very close-up around the flower, which looks like blowing a kiss!
(About collages, there's no need to make them when your photos have such individual impact! So, don't be sad! People love your work as it is, as you often poit out " as in nature"!)
And THANK YOU for always taking a look at my page!
Best regards,
Gabriela

Gayle's Eclectic Photos   {K:91003} 7/13/2006
hi,first off i would like to say that the clarity is superb and figured it was from a Nikon ;>
...like the hues and details showing the visiting insect...the tiny white dots to bottom right as viewed are distracting and i would clone them out rather than crop image...i like what i can see in the shadows and the mostly negative space works well here....the way the light lays makes this shot stand out to me....congrats!
ciao,gayle

Ms. Mel Brackstone   {K:6455} 7/13/2006
Beautiful flower and nice catch with the insect as well!

Miles Herbert   {K:1947} 7/13/2006
Nice colours and details, especially the little bug on the main flower and the one on the left side. I think for impact I would have cloned out the half hidden plants, and the bubbles, leaving just the main plant with a bit of negative space to emphasise the bright colours

Giuseppe Guadagno   {K:33999} 7/13/2006
Thanks Gayle for the excellent comment to the photo. You are perfectly right about the white small reflections on the water: they surely disturb adding nothing. Simetimes we are attracted by shining reflections as the lark.
Thanks again.
Cheers.

Ciao Bill.

I love the drama from the dark background with the light "just right", making it glow. So very colorful! Well done! Pat

Thanks Miles for the helpful comment but even more for made me visit your home again. I saw very good new entries and felt again the pleasure for watching your beautiful photos.
You are right about my picture. I like capturing a microcosm and sometimes that conditions my work. As you said, cleaning and enlarging makes a better photo.
Thanks again Miles.
Good night.

Giuseppe

Una macro davvero bellissima, due soggetti in uno!
Sia l'insettino che il fiore sono stupendi, fusi in una composizione armonica e curatissima!
Complimenti!
Ciao

An outstanding macro capture.

Paolo Corradini   {K:53035} 7/14/2006
ciao
