Hello Sean,
Good pic with a great reflection. IMHO I would try cropping out the foreground & changing the coulour a little with Hue & Saturation in ps (select the yellow and play with it) I've included a crude example here.
All best,
Chris

Although I do agree with Christopher’s suggestions, I don't think those are the biggest issues with shot.

Although the shoreline looks great in the foreground as is, I find the slanted background very distracting. While you may end up losing some of your image in the crop of the rotation, I feel it is worth it to strengthen the overall shot.

But those are mere suggestions to try and help improve an already great shot.

All the best,
Ed

Thank you both for your suggestions.

Did you see the ghost of the swagman in your thumb nails?

On the afternoon, when I took the shot, the light was that golden and that made me want to take the photos. So even though I can see the difference I like the gold in the photo.

The dam slopes that severely. So I just took the shot as it was. As I walked around it the angle changed, so there are other photos with the strange horizon and one that is more normal. I didn't know that you could do a part rotation. So thank you for that.

Thank you Chris for the ps tips.

Sean

Swagman?

Christopher Perrin   {K:765} 7/17/2006
I can see.

Ed,

The Swagman is an iconic Australian figure who camped by a billabong in a song/poem called Waltzing Matilda.

Thank you for the clarification Sean.

I have only ever heard the song as an instrumental.

All the best,
Ed

A striking reflection image, Sean! Wonderful colours! Well captured!

Cheers

Phil
