About Totally out of my usual sphere of work but I love things like this. It never ceases to amaze me where wild flowers/weeds choose to grow. I love the bright colours the buildings are painted in and I just had to compose with that old lampost included. This is the resort town of Kinsale where we based ourselves for several very enjoyable days in County Cork.

That's it I must start preparing to go off to work at 10pm.. I'll try to keep tabs on you tomorrow if I don't fall asleep over the keyboard. If not, 'see' you all on Thursday for my weekly catch-up

An unusual sight! The wild flowers look so out of place there! Colors, light, and details are excellent. The antique street lamp adds a lot of interest to this scene.

I'm with you Ray!! The colors are amazing and I, like you, have always been intrigued by where flowers seem to pop up. Always thought there was a Coffee Table Photobook out there waiting to be created which showed some of the Bizarre and unique places these things have been seen to grow from . . . as well as the extreme adversity so many seem to defy! A lovely image . . . very well seen!

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Hi Ray, noticed your great comments on some of the other portfolios I was viewing and thought I'd better check yours out. I am soo very impressed. To me, the wildflowers look happy and natural where they've decided to grow.

Linda Bique   {K:74033} 7/20/2006
Oh my dear I love it, and the lampost too, glad you kept it in there. Funny cuz yesterday I was out walking around in San Juan, and there is a high rise down the street from us with 2 palm trees on the roof, and it's really cool looking, I thought of that when I saw this. I'm sure they were put there but cool nonetheless...you took this is great light and composed it very well dear...big big hugs to you again!!

Len Webster   {K:22402} 7/20/2006
Love the contrasting colours and shapes, but I wish there was a different angle you could have shot the lamps from. To me, the overlap rather spoils the effect - but that's probably being a bit pernickety, especially as it was out of your control.

All the best (and thanks for your recent comments), Len

John-Eric Lemieux   {K:2976} 7/21/2006
