About Taking Joel's cue (thanks, man) I selected the lower region of the shot and adjusted curves to crush the blacks and and keep the eye from wanderin'. Yeah, it is a stronger shot afterward.

I'm always glad to hear from photographers who aren't afraid to tell me what's wrong with my shot!

This was one of more than a dozen shots I have in the July/August issue of Bravo Magazine on contemporary art around San Antonio. Polarizer used to control glare.

great photo, Paul. It really caught my eye. Its got some kind of abstract beauty about it which I really like.

A very well observed photo op with which to complete an awesome abstract. Haven't seen the original shot yet but the only enhancement to this that I might suggest is to remove the corrugated background and replace it with put black like the bottom of the photo.

Wonderful subject, excellent contrast and tones! There is visual weight towards the bottom - creating pleasant dynamics in an, otherwise, static composition. Congratulations on getting it published, Paul!

Howdy Paul,

Dude, this is beautiful! ...and you are very welcome! ..thank you!

Published... man, that is amazing! this image so deserves it. it has that soemthing that makes it perfect to view. It has motion... know what I mean? When you look at it, you eye is pulled to a direction, to one end of the image...and then back again. Perfect flow!

The exposure has much more strength with the dark bottom, and helps the balance so much!

Well done! Print this version as large as you can, and frame it!

cheers,
-joel
