This is a very beautiful piture. is it digitally manipulated or the background is real?

Shirley D. Cross   {K:143156} 7/24/2006
Thank you so much, Nospheerato! The 'room' began as a real photo of a hallway, which I 'warped' in the computer. Everything else was a separate image: woman, cat, sky, bird, blossoms...

Nospheerato    {K:379} 7/24/2006
well its beautiful and a real unique master piece. Nice inspiration :)

Absolutely breathtaking and especially after reading your reply to Nospheerato; so many elements to this one my dear Shirley. Your lovely model in her slightly diaphanous gown placed in her palace, the cat sitting on the sill as though it were there from the start, the bird flying in that wonderful tonal sky....your imagination is so incredible sweetie....I just wouldn't know where to begin. Well done to you, all the best....Ray

Shirley D. Cross   {K:143156} 7/24/2006
Thank you, dear Ray! Here is the original color version...I can never decide which I prefer. It is called 'The Golden Room'. The cat was my most beloved pet, taken when he was young.

Shirley D. Cross   {K:143156} 7/24/2006
Thank you, again!:)

I just collected my messages before switching off so I am diving back in again. I love the colour version but I think the monotone has just a liile more appeal. Having said that Anna (it is Anna isn't it?) looks even more beautiful in colour. Her skin and hair tones look wonderful. Thank-you for sharing both versions. It is difficult to be decisive about postings; I am getting better at making decisions, I think although maybe not, I can't decide:):):)>>>>>'See' you soon sweetie....Ray

Shirley D. Cross   {K:143156} 7/24/2006
Thank you, dear Ray...'see' you later, too.:)

Oh.. this has everything! That cat... the bird... the sky beyond the window... this a palace in the sky? & the model, once again, wonderfully posed... must find one of them myself now.. so inspired by your work. Brilliant!

Shirley D. Cross   {K:143156} 7/24/2006
Thank you so very much, dear Riny! No, that is not me, but my beautiful model, Anna.:)

All the components make me think some images off my life. Maybe, dreams... Another great work.

Shirley D. Cross   {K:143156} 7/26/2006
Thank you so very much, again, dear Jorge!

Alexander Dederer   {K:1520} 8/7/2006
Why you use "old" camera with negative film and makes digital work? Why you not use Digital camera?

Shirley D. Cross   {K:143156} 8/7/2006
Because, my dear, I cannot afford a new digital camera, and I have a very nice high-end film scanner.:) Perhaps, some day...

Ameed El-Ghoul   {K:42174} 8/9/2006
Simply wonderful Shirley,
But to be net-picky with you, I would disagree regarding the lighting on the model's head, as it suppose to be kind of shady and the back ground show a dark lighting which makes the lighting on her head kind of unreyalistic,
This is of couser MHO,
Cheers,

Shirley D. Cross   {K:143156} 8/9/2006
Thank you again, Ameed!:)
