About After some careful work on her skin tones, and making her pop from the background, I've reposted this image for further critique. Please, tell me what you think!

Paul...I think you did an outstanding Job on it!!! She looks Great!!!!

Paul Lara   {K:81616} 7/26/2006
Thanks, Rob.

Rob Graziano   {K:6231} 7/26/2006
You're quite welcome! She's stunning in this shot and you brought that out!

Roger Skinner   {K:64569} 7/26/2006
hmm still footless and fancy free I see

Melanie Reynolds   {K:9583} 7/26/2006
I think she looks great. Lovely pose and nice, soft lighting.

The only thing that is bugging me is her dress. I dunno if it's the color or the pattern, but if you notice all the background colors are sort of earth-toned. The wasll, chair, sofa and carpet all have the same tones. The dress does cause her to stand out, but it almost looks like a staged shot (in a good way) but the outfit just doesn't mesh with the surroundings.

It is knit-picky, but that is what I am noticing.

Andrzej Pradzynski   {K:21606} 7/26/2006
Paul, good job, nice shot, great smooth tones, the palette is IMO a bit disonant. Hey, whatever the portrait is attractive. NJ

Paul Lara   {K:81616} 7/26/2006
LOL!
Yeah, Peta unloaded on me last night, and y'all are right. At the moment, I just thought to move the couch closer to the front windows to soften the lighting, but never noticed three bold, unrelated patterns in that central space. I brought couch and wall saturation way down to minimize it, but it fails even as black and white for that.

That, and her foot.
It's unanimous thus far: no one likes that Paul cut off her foot. ;)
Thanks, Melanie.

Paul Lara   {K:81616} 7/26/2006
Yes, on both accounts, NJ: she is attractive here and none of the textures are even trying to co-operate with one another. ;)

Thanks for your input.

Dave Arnold   {K:55649} 7/27/2006
Haven't seen the other one yet but I must say her skin looks perfect. She sure is a beauty and I love the pose.

Best wishes,
Dave

Don Loseke   {K:32503} 7/27/2006
The skin tones look very nice. My only concern is cutting off the leg on the left. Nice light. Don.

Paul Lara   {K:81616} 7/28/2006
Thanks Don.
It's unanimous: No one likes Paul's photo-amputation. ;)

Salvatore Rossignolo   {K:13547} 7/31/2006
Paul, please feel free to repost Raquel as many times as needed to perfect the image.
Your friend,
Sal
PS I think you got her to 'pop' on this one.

Paul Lara   {K:81616} 8/1/2006
Thanks, Sal.
The more I look at the visual dissonance in this shot, the more I like it.

Brad Morris   {K:3304} 8/7/2006
this is a lovely shot Paul

Cary Shaffer   {K:9289} 8/14/2006
Hi Paul, the skin tones are great and the pose is soft and elegant, nice work. Thanks for your recent comment and keep on shooting! P.S., I'm jeleaous about the 20D! Cary

sonny saenz   {K:2321} 8/20/2006
another wow paul you captured so much..really like this ..you are really great with light..something I have to learn..

Paul Lara   {K:81616} 8/20/2006
the lighting for this was au natural: a large glass door about 4 feet away created a very soft light. So soft I put my flash away.

Thanks for the compliments, Sonny.

Lucas L   {K:11978} 3/21/2007
so sexy !!!
just great.

Paul Lara   {K:81616} 3/21/2007
Yeah, you've long been my inspiration, Lucas.
There's just something breathtaking about long legggs, huh?

Lucas L   {K:11978} 3/22/2007
show me some long legs and a nice ass...and my day it is made ... I love them!!!
regards Paul.
