About Besides vases, glasses, decanters and other utilitarian objects, these guys would lay preheated strips of colored glass into a glass rod, pull and twist it, then make holiday ornaments or even marbles! (1/640sec; f/6.3; ISO 200; 200mm)

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:99839} 8/3/2006
Thanks Shirley! I might even be inclined to 'try my hand' at it were it not for the expense of the equipment and the difficulty of holding my Nikon while I did it!
:)

Wonderful one Doyle- the hand and the colours so striking. Thought it was a seaside rock (if you know what I mean!) in the little one! This really is a great capture.

You must be so pleased with this one my dear friend. The details are superb in the workman's hand, the colour tones in the glass being worked are so beautiful and the dof is absolutely perfect. Another very serious contender in this project Doyle.....Well done to you. All the very best....Ray
