I love the feeling / atmosphere to this photo Greg. The sepia tones work perfectly for this shot - it accentuates the clouds and the landscape details in a way B&W probably couldn't. Solid composition and very well captured, great work.

Unsure? It is a great one that I would name almost a painting!

The soft contoures alone that nonetheless preserves such a high degree of details are enough for me to name it great! It is not only the sepia tone that makes it so attractive but much more its mood, based on slightly selective focus and a balanced composition.

If I may ask, did you converted that to sepia in PS?

A very atmosperic one!

Keep well,

Nick

Paulo Sézio de Carvalho   {K:2247} 10/17/2006
Id'like of the colors in sepia. Great composition Greg.

Eb Mueller   {K:23053} 11/5/2006
I like your sepia rendering. Would there be a small improvement if you cropped to the dense treeline at the left? It would also obscure the bright spot.

Yes, something different, and something very expressive at the same time! A great monochrome study and again with much of a painting!

Only the left edge could be cropped a bit more rigorously so that the interruption of the series of trees doesn't happen so near to the finishing border.

Best wishes,

Nick
