Just checked and these not here- glad I came back-this is brilliant! It is the mist and the lighting on the water that would captivate me. Quite hypnotic! Beautiful image that is a scene from a classical film to me!

It's lovely Ashley, I love the mist and again the peaceful scene. My sister just married a Canadian and moved to Canada, and I am excited about going to visit, there are so many beautiful views in your country. Maybe a ND filter might have helped with the sky, or I always underexpose about 2/3 to a full stop and that seems to help too, but this is indeed a moody and lovely image!! Well captured!!

Hi Ashley. I think you've done a top rate job capturing the mist. Sometimes, in order to capture something as fine as this, something else may have to suffer. In this instance, I think it's colours and definition in the sky. The brightness of it tends to draw the eyes away from the subject - mist. My suggestion in this case, would be to simply crop the sky out. I've attached a cropped version just to show you what I mean. I think it enhances the mood, giving the scene a more eerie feel... You could even 'close' the image with something I like to do to every now and then - black matte top and bottom for a widescreen, cinematic look.

Hope this helps.
Cheers

Thanks for your comment. I agree with you 100% on the crop. Thanks.

A lovely image. The morning mist is very well captured. Like on holidays. Wonderful.
