About Little talk
Don't you believe it's probable
that beatles, bugs, and bees
talk about a lot of things -you know, such things as these:

The kind of weather where they live
in jungles tall with grass
and earthquakes in their villages
whenever people pass!

Of course we'll never know if bugs
talk very much at all,
because our ears are far too big
for talk that is so small.

Very well caught little beetle, bug or whatever, Alison! I like the splash of red on the white petal and you've got very good textures and patterns on the flower as well.
Dave.

vivid red bug. I seems to me the DOF is off slightly. The petal of the flower is in sharper focus than your bug.

pretty good shot i'd say. can't pick out any problems with it really. nice colours. good idea to write poems or other text to accompany a photo. that would make a nice gift for someone.

regarding laura's comment, with macro its hard to put two parts of the photo that are close together into the same focus. thats just the way macro seems to work.

Very interesting composition. I would give the background the sam collour as the beatle to make a better connection

Maravilloso macro y finismos detalles Alison!
Muy lindo el colorido de ese bichito en ese blanco pétalo
Felicitaciones!

This one is partucularly superb. It has what I call the "star of the picture." The bug on the line implies movement along it's path. The composition is great, well balanced, and the background is colorful, instead of the typical bland greenish one. I like it very much. Jonathan.

here is my version of what i think you would like, i tend to like the natural purples which add contrast.

red for the bug

I wish you had filled the frame with just the white petal and the vein being kept diagonally as it is currently. The background color is distracting. The focus seems to have fallen on the white petal.

What a beautiful poem to accompany your excellent macro nature study my dear Alison. I love the details in the petal and the little beetle and the dof is just superb producing that excellent buzz to the background. Well done to you sweetie. My very best wishes to you as always.....Ray

Nice PS to this great Shot Alison,
the way this bug tries to climb and the color composition is very lovely to me,
it's truely means a bug who is trying to climb something which is not that important to us (human, you know) but very important for itself!
Well done,
Mohammad

Nice colors. This was a very creative shot of the little climber! And just in time too, because although small these suckers can be quick!

Great image and words. The claritym closeness and the colour beautiful.

You couldn't have chosen a better background. The red shows up so nicely on the white. The purple flowers in the background provide just the right degree of variation. And the red border is the perfect touch. This is just excellent!
