very nice perspictive angle....i like is feeling of that funny ratio between the body and the face great commedy style...also the place of the shot (view) is great the shot makes me remember the cartoon acts

Fun picture!! Great use of wide angle perspective...I wish that you'd have captured the entire left ear...but it doesn't hurt the image in any way. Love it!

Hi Sheryl,
The reason I cropped the left ear is that my eye was drawn out of the photo to the point of it, while I wanted the attention to be maintained within the image more. Not sure if it worked but that was the idea of the crop

I had to be Nosey and take a look at this one, did he step on your toe? Great perspective shot...taken with the wide angle. I just saw that you are in Red Deer Alberta, my sister just married a guy from Red Deer...she is in the process of going through immigration. Very interesting shot Tim, I like it...Cheers, Linda

well the reason I was at this farm is that the owner met my girlfriends friend from Columbia via the internet and we were checking out how they were doing couple wise...hmmm she is moving there in a month....is your sister from Columbia? Or is there a plethora of single guys over there in Red Deer...I am painting I use the computer monitor to paint from.
Oh yeah I met my girlfriend via the internet as well.....how the hell else do you met anyone these days when we are so busy? and not bar hogs anymore.... well never was one for drinking either

I think it is a great way to meet people too, I'm not and never have been into bar scenes either...No we are originally from Illinois, when they hit it off they didn't think anything would come of it because they were so far apart but they made it work and then SHE asked him to marry her, and what else could he do...LOL. She loves it there so far, but of course the immigration stuff isn't a lot of fun but has to be done. Your girlfriend lives in Canada I presume.
Speaking of painting from the computer monitor. So you paint from your pictures then. I just got a Cintiq tablet to use for digital painting and photo painting but I haven't used it yet, have you heard of it? Cheers, Linda

never heard of it. I use a laptop to paint from. I painted out of doors for 15 years but this works better for working out composition a head of time. I use it similar to painting out doors in that it is to the right of me and I just look at the image and start to paint. Plein Air...but in doors lol...better weather.

Did you like Plein Air? I would think doing acrylics outdoors would be difficult because they dry so fast...:) Yes indoors is definitely better weather...:)

Plein air with acrylics forces you to go with instinct and to paint with speed. The speed allows the emotional quality of the moment to show in a more dramatic fashion. I you have to much time your mind starts to doubt your actions and that kills the overall impact. I think plein air is a needed activity to improve.
