Very nice Michele
. . . I like the composition. I took some shots of windsurfers this weekend! I see that you've been correctly told the name of this sport . . . so I'll not belabor the point. The fact is - you're right . . . they're great fun to watch.
You've captured this very well. I like the water and the obvious action in this shot. I would tell you you don't need a bigger lens . . . because you can take great shots without one . . . but it would sound hollow because I whined to MQ about "I need a bigger lens" right up 'till I got one. Then whined about the Macro . . . till I got one . . . then whined about the wide-angle . . . well - you get the idea and I still need a fish-eye lens! LoL!
The key is to get good by getting practice and expand when you can . . . and you've certainly started some dramatic improvement and, unless I'm wrong . . . you're getting a fair amount of practice too!

Ha! Thank You again Doyle ... just human nature I guess to always want more camera equipment. I have been getting more practice in and I am very glad it is showing. I was a slump for a time..hopefully it has passed. Thank You kindly for your time and comments my friend.

michele - i have a series of 4 of these posted (well, #4 will come tomorrow!)...it's so cool, this kite-boarding! and it is so difficult to get the boarder AND his kite (way up in the sky)...they are so cool! great shot!

I just got to view this 'Featured Critique'
and it's nice to get them.... I guess YOU never knew I hold a close count I think to top 'Featured Critiquer's' even before You knew me :)))
I used to get them more often ...but for awhile I got them a lot .....
Maybe have almost a dz. ......Okkkkkkkkkk Stop laughing at me ...it's the only recognition I 've gotten around here so I take it to heart :))
My pc ran out of memory and I am ready for 'Desperate Hardrives' next week because this 3 hr., fix will not work everyday .. . . .
Any way I do Thank You so much for the Conga ~Rats & noticing yet another Ballon....ahhhhh Mylar I believe -haha!!!
