About If you've followed the series you have an idea already what this is about! The charging bull bypassed one and chose his final target. Uh huh. Maybe I WILL pass on this game after all!

OUCH! That is a LOT of beef to come stormin' at your chest, Doyle.

Shirley D. Cross   {K:143453} 8/5/2006
Yep...you'd better pass! This does NOT look like fun to me.

Sheila Carson   {K:5915} 8/6/2006
OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Klaas  Baas   {K:15115} 8/6/2006
Great capture Doyle of these men with probably a lose end in their brains, if they have any at all.
You caught the action real good.
I now have an idea what this "game" is.
Let's keep it by photographing, and let they sit model for you, better than the other way arround.
Take care,

Klaas

Robin Wickenkamp   {K:16448} 8/6/2006
For $500??? Ha!
Well done Doyle...the sepia tone is perfect for this! I think a bit more room on the left would give the bull somewhere to toss the player but, if I know you, there was something there that needed to be cropped out. Still, excellent action and a great entry to the project!
Take care...Robin

Hanggan Situmorang   {K:37824} 8/6/2006
Ouch!!! That is right to the spot! Great capture, Doyle..:)))

There is so much power in those mighty muscles my dear Doyle and this idiot is just about to bear the full brunt of this creatures wrath. What a great pity that he is sitting on his brain:):) You were quite right in an earlier observation you made, a photographer's paradise. Well done to you my friend for these excellent shots of how to end your life suddenly or get a painful wake-up call. Did the guy head for a medic or psychiatrist when he left the ring:):)??? All the best Doyle......Ray

Riny Koopman   {K:61534} 8/6/2006

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100221} 8/7/2006
Hehehehee . . . A ton of beef . . . but NOT coming at MY chect!! :) I'd pay $500.00 NOT to have to sit there!
:P

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100221} 8/7/2006
Right on Shirley . . . If I need $500.00, I'll bet in the stands who MIGHT survive . . . but likely I won't sit out there for my 25% chance of not being malled!
:P

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100221} 8/7/2006
The smaller the brain . . . the less the pain . . . (That's why we can feel it without sitting in the chair)!

Ok . . . just kidding! Don't beat me up Mr. Cowboy! :P

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100221} 8/7/2006
ABSOLUTELY Klaas! Only ONE guy gets the $500.00 --- and I could probably sell him some prints! Hehehehee. Besides . . . I DID suffer too . . . I had to wait for my ice cold beer!

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100221} 8/7/2006
Ha!

Robin, my dear, you are VERY good at this. I would have killed to open that left side but just COULDN'T do it! Nothing there to force the crop . . . just nothing there . . . BAD framing on my part trying to get the action left that left side as the natural end of the capture! I had thought the bull was going to clip the man on the right but he swerved at the last moment to both my surprise and, likely, to the surprise of the white hat cowboy who gets both a bull to the chest and a chance to see his hopes for $500.00 fly out the window! Ouch!

Good call . . . and I can say that with ALL sincerity since I totally agree with you! Thanks for the inciteful comments you kindly share with me . . . I sooooo appreciate them!

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100221} 8/7/2006
Thanks Hanggan . . . I think "Ouch!!!" pretty much sums this one up! :P

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100221} 8/7/2006
Thanks Ray . . . no bulls, children . . . or even men were harmed during my attendance. At least not noticeably. I'm told that it requires a brain to feel pain . . . so naturally I was concerned about the bulls! (Just kidding!) :P

By the way, the time to see the psychiatrist is BEFORE . . . not AFTER leaving the ring! Hehehehee
:)
Tkae care my friend!

Looks like you had a successful day at the bull riding. Another great action shot. Colors and details are very good.

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100221} 8/8/2006
It's ok Shirley . . . the bull was absolutely NOT hurt! :)

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100221} 8/8/2006
Thanks Laura . . . any time I go to a bull riding event and manage to stay off the bulls I consider it a successful trip! :)

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100221} 8/8/2006
Oh yeah . . . none of the guys . . . amazingly enough . . . were hurt either! Least not so I could tell!

:)

vanessa shakesheff   {K:65142} 8/8/2006
WOW they must be nuts ..there must be an easier way to make a living..great capture ..you can see the determination in the bulls eyes..love the sepia tone and detail ..nessa

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100221} 8/8/2006
Thanks Nessa . . . and quite right -- there are way too many easier methods to earn some money . . . especially considering only one of the four get paid . . . the one who doesn't get hit!!

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Mary Slade   {K:40918} 8/9/2006
Doyle, brilliant the way you catch things- so full of life! Makes me laugh and how you got them like that! Love that colour- sort of timeless and like a film.

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100221} 8/9/2006
Thanks Mary . . . I always think of the guy on the right that was passed by and won the $500.00. I wonder does he have more guts & courage or less brains & intelligence to be able to sit there while this Bull charged! I suspect there is some balance point there somewhere!

Regards,

To All:
The Toro Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Humans has denounced this sport as cruel to humans. Satan and Diablo . . . spokesbulls for the sport claim that this is NOT cruel to humans as only those with little or no brains would participate! They maintain that little or no pain is endured and they wish to continue!
:)

Doyle I <~~~~~
