The idea is breathtaking and the lighting, particularly on Jasmine's face, is just stunning. The conversion to mono tones is superb. Everything is right about this wonderfully creative study; however, if you were to re-work it you could consider moving Jasmine further up the horse's neck which looks a little too long. BUT, what do I know!! I love it the way it is. Well done to you sweet Shirley.

I have to sort the computer out and the hundreds of raw images piled up inside, I have to make time to go and take even more shots to burden the computer with and I just need to re-think how much time I will spend on Usefilm in the future. Rest assured, I will ALWAYS find time to visit you when I come back but I must cut back on visits in some other directions. I am on.....

Ok . . . it's not your 'best' . . . but, by definition, only one photo can be your best photo! That doesn't mean the others aren't wonderful and this one feels great . . . an impression of freedom
. . . but - quite frankly - the title "Escape" seems a tad off . . . true, it works, but the connotation includes some negative aspects built in which seem to me inherent in the word . . . if you know what I mean . . . and Jasmine doesn't look like she's escaping so much as enjoying the moment of freedom currently being expressed in this composition. Petty point . . . but I thought I'd toss it out for your consideration.
What I think has the MOST strength in the composition . . . other than that beautiful smile . . . is the superb use of lighting to acheive an effect . . . I think that's very cool!

I really do like it and I am usually extreamly picky, the composition is very creative, I like also the DOF in here, it adds lots of flavor, the grain effect as well is a plus, Actually .. I think you will have a good challenge when repeating this one to come up with something as good as it is :)
