What an angle- it makes me so hungry to see all that! Great idea.

Ah, the messy joys of a pile of spicy, steamy crustaceans!

Jan, your white balance is way too orange, which then diminishes the orange prominence of the cooked crabs

corrected white balance

Jan Hoffman   {K:39373} 8/19/2006
Paul-- Thanks for the tip! I knew something was "off"; in your adjustment you went more to blue/white. I need to play with the white balance on a number of photos. Thanks for taking the time to point this out; I really appreciate help.

I took my own shot at it. Is this better?

Steamed Maryland Blue Crabs are a speciality around here and are delicious and sweet. I have had crabs in many places but they never match the local style and quality. On the other hand they cost a fortune and are much less costly in places like Mississippi, California, Lousianna, etc. Some people find them disgusting, like a disecting project in a Biology class, but I assure you they are delicious and worth the picking apart by hand. Thanks for viewing.

I was in Portland several times (in and out trips) and never had the chance to spend real eating time. I'll put them on my list of things to try---- may be out there visiting a friend early next year.

Now that looks delicious. I've got to experience a crab house one of these days.

Thanks for viewing, Dave. Best place to visit for the true "crab" experience is Maryland. Nothing like it. Crabs steamed with Old bay and other spices. If you ever visit in the Washington DC area then go a wee bit north to Maryland and spend some time here.
