Thanks Shirley. It's only this year I haven't posted. A lot of work and a lot of travel here and there for the work. No time for hobbies :( I have a slightly relaxed period now (hope it will last a little bit longer) and I enjoy my two old friends: my camera and my guitar. Meanwhile I keep on trying to hide my "touch of the romantic" :)

I do agree that Shirley has created something here, at least a fairy mood!
But as for what this composition/ thing is- i would not even call it a picture nor a painting!!! it's photoshop and all effects!
I had seen "Lord of the Rings" and i do love that movie! but this picture is a disappointment with it's all good intentions! But the most disappointing thing here is its selection as the photo of the day by one of the most alternative photo websites in the world!!! Furthermore, if Shirly's photo was to be selected as POD than with my standards of photography i would say she has 10.000 better picture than this 'photoshop charichature'!
I wouln't have normally said anything about this, only that i got disappointed with the staff of the usefilm, which made me question my future in this website!

My dear Visar, I am so sorry that you feel this way. Of course, I had nothing to do with winning this award. But be assured, every element of this artwork is from my original photos...inverting and selective layering with some filters added for the background. Don't be bitter. There is no telling what motivates the judges to choose one photo over another. Many, many fine works go unrewarded. No matter what site you are on, or what competition you enter (as I know from experience,) it is all subjective, according to the judges' tastes and whims.
