Now this really is stunning Doyle. The clarity and closeness. And the beautiful colours and textures. Definitely a fave. Again would you see it as abstract or a picture of a flower?!...(and does it matter!).

Thanks Mary . . . the image is abstract AND a flower. I consider it more of a floral macro with abstract tendencies :). But, as you so aptly point out, it doesn't really matter what it's labeled as . . . it is what it is and what it is -- is a picture of a sunflower! Take care my poet friend!

My first impression from the thumb was of a bonfire with smoldering coals. Instead, it's a smoldering sunflower! The shallow DOF adds the feeling of flames...beautiful, Doyle!:)
