About I would like to greet all my old Usefilm friends. I've been away for a photo trip was back for a week, away for another and back - swamped with work and no time for Usefilm! Thanks for everyone who kept sending comments - appreciated!!

I took over 3000 photos on the the Namibia trip - havent even opened more than half of them so forgive me if I dont know where to start. I decided after a while that I will start at the start of my our journey and submit the best and/or the most interesting ones in the same order we as we travelled.

This one is stil in South Africa and in a semi arid region normally having a monotonous "brown" appearance. They had good rains a two months previously changing it in a landscape with yellows, greens browns and blues. Photo uncropped and slightly adjusted the contrast brighness. Used a polarizer to bring out the bright yellows.

Lovely colors, great landscape composition. I like the effect of interleaving layers of color. Thanks for posting this spectacular photo!

Welcome back! & I can't wait to see your photos from that trip... especially not if these are anything to go by.

Such a rare sight I imagine, seeing this colour in Africa.. & you've caught it so beautifully here. Would never have guessed where this was taken.

I love the different layers of the landscape you've caught.. what a beautiful place.

I can see even just from these first photos you've been on a trip of a lifetime... maybe someday I will have the opportunity to follow in your footsteps.. until then I will sit back & admire the photos you upload.

Keep well & bright
Quix x :)

This is a superb landscape, Joggie. It's more special to me because my daughter lives and travels the African East Coast and has recently spent a few months in Namibia, so I can't wait to see those pics. Congratulations on your POTD. Cheers, Ann.

Okay, now I see your explanation of the colors. Much like my desert, we have had lots of rain and everything is green and blooming in what should be fall. Just wish I had time to go out and take photos.

Excellent landscape and a well deserved award, congratulations! Anxiously awaiting more from your trip.

Best wishes,
Dave

Congrats on the POD award, Joggie.
What an amazing view. Things in Texas are VERY brown, due to continued drought.
