About Spike, doing his bit to keep the world safe for democracy. I let him play "mouse tag" for a while before taking the poor thing away and flushing it down the toilet. It's not as sharp as I would have liked, and it would have been nice if both cat AND mouse had been looking at the camera, but he adamantly refused to pose.

To have it amazes me- the image not the mouse I mean! I start to wonder is it a false one drawn in! To even have its eyes- wonderful and natural.

Hi,Mary - no, the mouse was there, staring at me with that imploring look. I feel bad every time I see this photo (because I "rescued" the mouse only to flush it down the toilet - a better fate than Spike had in mind for it, but still....)

We have four cats. You wouldn't think there would be ANY mice in the immediate vicinity for them to bring home. :-]

cheers,

Jon

Nice capture, and the garden is a little safer for awhile. We have four cats also, and they still seem to find the rodents every now and then, not bad for 10 year old cats.
