Great detailed shot with excellent focus...my only question s could it be improved with an even tighter crop?..Just a thought..

This is a good comment Manu, thank you. I had tried a few tighter crops but I was sad to lose some of the detailed content and balance by cropping. But I think you are right. There is good opportunity here for a tight crop and the original shot has enough resolution for closser cropping. I will try your suggestion.

Beautiful image, Mark. I like the repeating shapes and textures.
I kinda agree that maybe a different crop would strengthen it, but I'm not terribly sure about that.
One thing that I find fascinating is the appearance of much of the stone, it has an almost metallic quality about it. Very cool!
