About I recently posted a series which included me and my sons looking very surreal and vampire-esque. My original idea was to shoot the photos with the white balance off to create a blue tone. I completely spaced and forgot to do that.

I have FINALLY made the switch to PS CS2 and am beginning to learn it. I decided to revisit this series and go for my original idea with the blue tone. I may go back and redo all of them as I have time.

this is the shot originally posted:

Natural window light, moonlight filter and adjustestments with hue/saturation.

I hae been so busy learning this PS I haven't had any time to comment! LOL

Very impresive portrait work and very great lighting and details, wishing you all of the best my friend.

Melanie--
If I had not seen the first version I might have liked this one better. However, now that I am "spoiled" from version one, I have to say I preferred it more. That said, you sure did achieve a striking effect with the way you balanced and highlighted this version. I guess if i turned my monitor off I would still see the eyes glowing and staring at me.
Love the style you show and the creative flair for drmatic portraits. I always enjoy viewing your work.

Who makes the moonlight filter? I liked it the first time and like it still. Always a pleasure. Steve

in my opinion...this is one of your best portraits. all of the different body gestures give off a lot of information to be interpreted. at the same time that you are being a protective mother, you are also being bold, aggressive...staring down any who would challenge you, your family, what your family is or how you take care of it...almost daring anyone to attack you. almost as if you are waiting for the threat to come, by the tilt of your head...but not concerned if it did. the look in your eyes is almost cynical and sad at the same time.
it seems as though hayden is becoming aware of the world apart from you by the way he is leaning away and staring with that questioning look in his eye. but marreck is still safely tucked away.
very eloquent.
