Hi Mary,
Excellent atmosphere adn composition. I like the rather minimalistic, simplicity of the scene, but the addition of the jetty really makes this photo tick. Beautiful scene - Very good shot.

Hi Andre. we were at Bark lake when the tornado went through. The sky was so very ominous, the rain was heavy, and the winds were high. Fortunately, that is all ge got at Bark Lake. Combermere is not really that far away. We took a drive a few days later and the devastation was quite incredible. We had friends at the camp site that got hit really hard, but they are fine. It was remarkable that one one waw seriously hurt. I do hope that your place suffered no damage.

Hi Mary,
We were up there only two days before the tornado hit and we were back again two days after it hit. We are on the Madawaska river about two miles down from Combermere, by the Palmer Rapids dam. Our area was not damaged. We only lost some branches and one large cedar split down the middle. As you say, it is hard to believe the damage in some areas. It is amazing the way a tornado can change the landscape! I had just had some lumber delivered from the lumber yard in Combermere that was completely ruined the next day.

Hello Mary,
Thank you for your comments on my photograph. As you saw, I work in large format and print in platinum. I have a big problem with archival quality of many contemporary output methods. Nobody talks about how they output their images...only viewing on the monitor. I have a greater interest in the final translation onto the paper.
Keep shooting, be very critical of your work. Only post or keep in a portfolio your best. You will be judged by your worst.
