In 1995-6 a group of Biologist from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service went to Alberta and British Columbia to capture and bring 31 wolves to Yellowstone. It took only 2 years to triple their population and by 1998 more than 100 wolves were at home in the Greater Yellowstone ecosystem.
This shot was taken at the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center in West Yellowstone.
