You are so kind Benesetto!!! Thank you very much. Although this is a simple image, it was a bit tricky shooting it... lol... nearly fell of a stool I was standing on at the time in the process! Hehehe...

Warm regards,
Aniko :)

Thank you for your comments Gianna! It actually took quite a lot of work to set this image up, but I have always been pleased with the result. I am glad others find pleasure in it too.

Warm Wishes,
Aniko :)

This is lovely indeed. Don't tell me that you didn't work the original in Photo Shop...

Aniko Heart   {K:25957} 8/31/2006
I promise you Alex... this has NOT been worked in photoshop. It is a straight in camera shot. TRUE!

Warm Wishes,
Aniko :)

Alex Munteanu   {K:1215} 8/31/2006
Ok, straight foto. Got it. But,then, how on earth did u create the background? And why does it create a feeling of painting rather than foto?
It is gorgeos, but I just want, NEEd to know how did u do it.
If it's not to much to ask, of course.

Aniko Heart   {K:25957} 8/31/2006
I don't usually give away my secrets, Alex, but I understand your need to know! :)

Firstly, I am not only a photographic artist, but also a painter. Therefore many of my photographic images have a painterly feel.

Basically I stood a vase of poppies on the sink which had a cloth on it. The sink is next to the window which is where the light came from. I propped a reflector up behind the vase and then hung other fabrics behind my camera which was on a tripod. I used another reflector to bounce more light into the image. The reflected fabrics are the painterly feel background, as are the reflected poppies. That is why some of the image is "sharp" and the rest is soft. I have a huge range (series) of these images using many different refective surfaces and different fabrics. :) So now you know!

Alex Munteanu   {K:1215} 8/31/2006
And thus you've shown me the superiority of art college created artists over the mere amateur photographers. Thank you for sharing the secret with me. I will not even think of trying to copy you. I respect you and your work too much. Besides that, I would need some years of practice, and beeing a veterinary student does not offer me a great deal of time.
Again, thank you so much.

Aniko Heart   {K:25957} 8/31/2006
There is no superiority, Alex. Also I have never had any schooling in any arts or crafts. I have experimented all my life. The results you see are through my heart's passion. No one taught me. I did not attend college. I did not even finish secondary school! Through Love, I managed to reach the status of "professionalism", though I have no certificates to prove this.. only my artwork images and the crafts I create.

I very much appreciate your not wishing to copy me, but even if you experimented with similar techniques, our images would be different! :)

I admire your studying to be a vetenarian. I love all creatures and it is good to know there are people who dedicate themselves to caring for the poor ailing ones. I must upload some of my favourite animal pictures sometime! :)
