Hi Alex - nice illusion with the sides of the photo appearing to taper into the bottom of the shot. At least that's how I see it! Great lines!

Kes is correct. The lines cause an optical illusion which makes this photograph seem wider at the top. Of course, the ancient Greeks would have cropped the image so that it was in fact wider at the bottom--making it appear square by compensating for the illusion. But them ancient Greeks were like that.

I did a similar shot of some weird corrugated window. I'll post one soon.
