The first day of September and Tropical Depression Ernesto brought wind and rain to Baltimore - not a promising day for photos. But I noticed fallen gingko leaves in the gutter, and started to play with them, photographically speaking.
The elegant fan shape of the gingko leaf and their ancient history (gingko is one of the oldest species of tree, originating in China) always suggest tranquility to me.
