About Something that can calm me down and sit for long in my own world is when thinking of my beloved father who died much to early in life of cancer on the 14th of June last summer. He was a calm man who enjoyed history, classic music, local dialects and the history behind them. He was engaged in politics and all his life he fought for the weak in society and against injustice.
Most of all he loved his family. He was completely unselfish and worked and breathed for the well-being of his family.
Although accepting that he´s gone, he still so present in all what I do and in my dreams. I feel lucky having had a father like him.
My father was an atheist, but still the most Christian man I´ve ever met due to his deeds and ethics. Whereever he is now it must be a good place!:-) Pax vobiscum, father.

What a very beautiful Tribute both in image and in words Annemette.

You seem a lot like your father too... When I first saw his picture ..he looked like a person very close to You. You will just have to beleive this part. Reading about him sounded much like I percieve You! I guess we really don't fall far from the tree right ?

I lost my Dad 4 yrs. ago and feel much the same as You about this loss... It is so wierd because in some ways when those you love pass on to other places if we are really really close to them in this life, that part never changes. I feel my Dad's presence as much today as ever!
I think we were both very lucky.

I love the clouds in this image....

Thank You for sharing something so personal.
BTW my very, very first image ever posted on UF was also dedicated to my Dad !

To Health and Happiness for You Annemette,
Michele~

Thank you for your comment, Michele. I´m impressed that you can feel that I share some of my father´s ideas and interests.
I´m sure that you are also very influenced by your beloved deceased father. I´m sorry that you´ve lost him, but you´ll always carry him with you, I know. Such a strong love and bond can never die.
Thank you.
Annemette

P.D: aqui esta la traduccion de la foto de mi bandera, y gracias por los comentarios......

Here you have the translation Annemette;

The General Francisco of Miranda who brought has it hoisted for the first time in his ship, badge, the" Leander", in the bay of Jacmel (Haiti) March 12 1806 like part of his expedition Libertadora. The National Flag is formed by the colours yellow that it represents the whole wealth of our country, blue, that represents all our immense sea caribe, and red that is the blood spilled by our patriots of the fight of independence, in united fringes, equal and horizontal in the order that is expressed, of superior to inferior and, in the means of the blue, eight white stars of 5 tips, placed in arch of I circulate with the convexity up that you/they represent the 8 counties that signed the act of independence.

Wonderful tribute Annemette. The dignity and thought so strong. Each person unique so much of the effects of the loss unique. No words seem right. (Not important in relation to it I know, but...you are on the front page- congrats- very well deserved).

Awesome dear Annemette. You need not be of any particular religion to be a moral man . . . I'm sure your father had proven that for you. Your photo and about are very moving and quite well done! Not so much by what you do in life, but by how much a person is loved, can we judge the good a person has done in life. Your composition and words here are proof that your father was a good man.
:)
Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Dear Annemette,
I went through your whole portfolio and enjoyed looking at every single photograph you took. You are a true artist. I admire this photograph, for its artistic qualities, and even more so for its description. It brought tears to my eyes while reading it, as it echoes my own story. Thanks for sharing your thoughts so openly and honestly. It is very touching.
Best regards,
Minoo
PS: And many thanks for your nice comments on my photograph.

Annemette Rosenborg Eriksen   {K:55401} 4/27/2007
Dear Minoo
You have no idea how much your kind words means to me! I´m so grateful for you taking the time to look at my portfolio and finding pleasure in viewing them.
Not at least am I happy for yopu to comment on my father´s photo. THank you.
I´m so sorry to hear that you´ve also experienced something similar with your father or mother.
We learn to live with the sorrow and loss, and the good memories become more dominant than the bad. Still the heartache never disappears.
I hope you´re doing well. Have a good weekend and thanks again for your kindness. It´s much appreciated:-)
Annemette
