These brilliantly coloured balls are fascinating aren't they! And so difficult to get just right. I will be waiting in anticipation to see what you come up with. CC

Hello Michele,

Just to give you an idea of what you can do with such a ball. I used it for making this selfportrait last Christmas. At that time I just had my Nikon D100 and was eager to play with it and try-out some ideas.

Hi Albert,

Thank You for the tips... makes a great reflection I do know this much .... Mostly I've been trying to stay out of the light of reflection!!! It's almost impossible but maybe a night shot !

Thanks again Albert,
Michele~

Wheeew ! I wasn't sure what to say about the first image...
It didn't look like Christmas . . .(?)

This one looks much more festive like holidays !!!
Very cool Albert...wish I could view it larger.... Thanks again,
Michele~

Hahahaha.. Michele,

It was just an accident, don't be scared please, it's only me.

The first one was a try on selfportrait with experiment of DOF. The point of sharpness is just in front of my face.

It was a try to understand how one of the masters of this kind of portraits accomplish this. I now know that he uses other tools, besides the camera.

I have to search it, but will send you the website where he publishes. To my opinion he's one of the best portrait photographers of today I know.

Greetz and see you,
Albert
