About After watching "Dances with Wolves" I gave this duck at a pond his own Indian name, Sleeps with Reeds! Sometimes Peace and tranquility comes from watching tranquil scenes with peaceful creatures! :)

Mary Slade   {K:40918} 9/11/2006
This is a great close up Doyle. First thing I really love is the rocks- never two alike! And it is such a peaceful almost symbolic and religious image.

Michele Carlsen   {K:127659} 9/11/2006
Very nice image of 'Sleeps with Reeds' !
He/She looks VERY relaxed and on a fine break! Very nice image Doyle...very peaceful and tranquil .....

Peace, & Health,
Michele~

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:99493} 9/11/2006
Thanks Mary . . . he was soundly sleeping and I was close enough to pet him (56mm)! Very tame duck. Two babies were swimming about . . . I call one the "Ugly Duckling" because of his top hat feather patch . . . but Marlyce fell in love with him. I've attached a shot of the babies for you to enjoy too!

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Ducklings

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:99493} 9/11/2006
Thanks again Michele . . . I posted a picture of the babies on the previous comment . . . the dark one is ugly! Heheheheee Here's attached another one - See??? UGLEEEE!! . . . Marlyce thinks he's cute! Uh, oh . . . wonder what that says about me?

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Ugly Duckling

Mary Slade   {K:40918} 9/11/2006
Thanks Doyle- this is gorgeous - the ripples and eyes of these babies! Quite agree with Marlyce....and if she is attracted to "ugly ducklings" Doyle, I'll say no more!

Michele Carlsen   {K:127659} 9/11/2006
Sometimes it's just a stage . . . and then they grow into beautiful Prince/Princess 's ... maybe Marlyce can just tell this before the rest of us !

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:99493} 9/11/2006
Hehehee . . . well, I guess you can only kiss sooooo many frogs . . . (I have no idea what that means).
:)

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:99493} 9/11/2006

Piece, tranquility and tenderness!
Wonderful picture Doyle!
R...

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:99493} 9/12/2006
Nahhhh Jessie . . . ambient light. Colors and hues vary significantly in what photographers call "The Golden Hour" where evening or morning the low sun seems to add a golden hue to all of God's creation. Also, there are better shadows, adding depth. Here . . . the pond is private and had artificial light above and below the surface of the water. The Duck is white . . . but the picture is accurate. Thanks for the good question!!

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:99493} 9/12/2006
Ok . . . Robin . . . this is the SECOND time . . . what the heck is ICMU??

Intellectually Challenged Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:99493} 9/12/2006

Robin Wickenkamp   {K:16356} 9/12/2006
Tsk, tsk, tsk, Doyle...you were not paying attention...I strongly suggest you take notes this time! Add these to your list: ICMU=I Crack Myself Up...YCMU=You Crack Me Up. I hope the AFLAC part didn't skate by you...;)

ps...challenged???...don't think so!

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:99493} 9/12/2006
Ummmm . . . well . . . you see; it's like this . . . I wanted to be sure YOU remembered and wasn't thinking it was 'I crack me up' or something else even more wrong . . . so to test you . . . I . . . uhhhhh . . . pretended I forgot . . . . YEAH . . . That's it! I was testing YOU!

Good NEWS! YOU passed! :)

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

PS: My wife is teaching me another language . . . "Redneck"!
