Hi Nick,
I think this one looks great! The look is similar to a recent one that I posted, except that this is much more natural, without the manipulation that I did with mine. The tone is very similar somehow.

I also like it very much because of its natural looking, Andre, but still I wish I had your skills in digital manipulation, that after all can be thought of yet another instrument available in our hands.

Many thanks and best wishes,

Nick

Great landscape. I like that the clouds seem to engulf the mountains, it adds a dramatic feel to the photograph. Well done.

Hi Nick,
Funny thing is, anything that I have picked up or learned about manipulating digital images usually only brings me back to trying to make the digital image look similar to the prints that I used to make using film.

Thank you very very much, Ashley! I see that the same way, too. Those clouds are the main protagonists for me.

Best wishes,

Nick

Well, Andre, it might be that you are also more into that straighter approach of film? It has something very different, the old good film, but I really don't know what it might be. It is perhaps that kind of sincerity and straightness that can touch much more than any "perfect photo"?

Anyway, indeed it is funny, to have all that possibilities of digital manipulation, to just return to the feeling of film. But then again, this journey could tell us more about film tha film itself ever did?

Take care,

Nick

Thanks a lot, Leo!

It looks much like B&W but it is a color film on a very cloudy winter day.

Best wishes,

Nick
