Another from a collection of night shots I did recently at Perkins Cove in Ogunquit Maine. The red boat in the foreground, the Ugly Anne, is a charter deep sea fishing boat. The background is mainly filled in with working Loster boats.

Mesmerizing shot Mark! I love the dark water and reflections, it has a watercolor quality. Smart composition too with the background boats gathered at the top. The boats seem to advance in a ghostly way lead by the Ugly Mary - and the title/ name has a great ring to it. Fantastic light and mysterious atmosphere. I'm slowly catching up a bit these days, always great to see your new work! Happy 2007 :) Ina

Thanks for your useful comments Ina, very observant and insightful, as usual. I so enjoy your comments to myself and to others as well.
BTW, I got a Canon 85mm f/1.2 L prime lens for Xmas (from my VERY generous wife!). It's my first use of non-zoom in years and so takes a little getting used to again, but WOW, the clarity, bokeh, and color are to DIE for. I hope this doesn't mean I'll need "L" glass from now on, I can't afford it!
