About This is one of the most characteristic sights of Red-shouldered Hawks. They commonly use roadside wires to look for their prey, in this particular case, a rodent. Between the coastal towns of Half Moon Bay and Pacifica (along highway 1) their home range overlaps with Red-tailed Hawks. This one is one of at least 7 R-sH found by Marcus Armani in the last 2 weeks. This past weekend after visiting the Golden Gate Raptor Observatory, I swung by Half Moon Bay to look for them. The weather was awesome, the light was perfect, and the traffic was ok. I had plenty of time, but I could not find a single one. C-est la vie. This shot is from my previous visit with Marcus Armani to Half Moon Bay. I hope you guys like it.

Beautiful pose Yamil, lovely catchlights and excellent colors. There seems to be a put down on you and Marcus images if it is not in-flight capture, guess you guys spoiled us with those AWESOME images.Sometimes I do get carried away with in-flight shots then I see a wonderful natural setting image and I go and shoot some.
Take care and keep them coming.
Thanks for the bird correction,I don`t know much about birds.
Robbie
