About The arch at the Palace of Fine Arts . . . an extremely beautiful . . . often considered Tranquil and Peaceful . . . locale. Here are columns which are immense and ornate as well as a beautiful lagoon. We saw three or four other photographers there and the place was more or less deserted at this early, Sunday morning time! This place screamed to me for the fisheye lens!

Thanks Salvatore . . . I thought it was best to NOT correct the distortion of the lens because it enhances the shot! :)

Thanks Robin. One more work related issue during my first two day off in 12 years and I likely wouldn't have come back!! In my business, they say if you think you're indispensible, you need a vacation. I suppose they're referring to people who aren't!! LoL!! :)

Your fisheye lens is perfect for this shot. I feel as if I am looking up at the architecture from the ground level. Great perspective!

Beautiful colors of course, and wonderful place this palace!
Ciao, Ale

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:99839} 9/20/2006
Thanks Alessandro. The tricky part with this lens is not getting your own feet or tripod legs in the image! 180 degrees!
