About The South side of the Palace of Fine Arts, where the lagoon is considered best viewed, was fenced off from the public for work. Of course, where there's a will . . . Hehehehee. Attached in the comments is the uncorrected (for distortion) view with the fisheye. You can see my shadow shooting OVER the fence. Another photographer literally lowered her camera over the fence and walked it down so that there was her . . . a fence . . . and a camera--her fingers holding the camera from the other side of the fence! Corrected for distortion and cropped.

Oh, . . . AND IT'S FREAKIN' PEACEFUL! LoL!

We almost couldn't leave. From the North side you can walk right up to the swans and ducks, etc.! This place was stunning and I highly recommend it to all visitors!

Wow!!! The weather was certainly co-operative and I was going to ask if you had the grounds swept and the Museum recently scrubbed... Everything looks soo clean, and PEACEFUL and gorgeous !!!
I really like the composition..and the fact of no people in this one.

Good job 7+
Michele~

It almost doesn't look real.

Great colors - they are amazing. Love the sky and the green grass. Excellent crop from your untouched version you posted.

I hope someday to visit for the Palace of Fine Arts myself.

Excellent!

Lisa

What a fabulous photo, Doyle! The colours are just breathtaking. Thanks for posting the uncorrected one, too - it's interesting to see how things start out. Just out of curiosity, how did you correct the distorsion?

All the best, SQirl

Oh Lisa . . . you definately need to visit this place! Roman ruins, the design . . . see the about section in the photo titled "Inside" for details . . . it is breathtakingly beautiful. I'm not sure it can be conveyed in photos. But I intended to try. Thanks for the comments. Incidently . . . early Sunday morning the place was almost entirely our own. There were only four of five there when we left. I'd recommend an early visit.

Sqirl:
I got a free trial download of Capturenx from the Nikon website . . . it's amazing and you can use it for 30 days before you decide to buy or not. I used that program to correct this shot:
http://www.usefilm.com/image/1177715.html and IT was very user friendly.

Thanks so much for your comments . . . they're always appreciated!
