While I am somewhat distracted by the amount of glare/reflection, I am drawn to the "natural" pattern that is shed on this ladder without thought or intent... Sometimes I think that random, natural patterns offer more to the imagination than conceived ideas. More impressive is your ability to see what few others do. I admire your drive to "find" objects that possess intriguing color, patterns, and textures. I've missed your work......

Using more difused lighting would have helped to reduce the harsh light which has effected certain regions. I really like this because it is so reminiscent of painters post Pollock. Nicely found.

Dank je wel voor je mooie woorden. Niets is gebeurt met mijn Canon camera. Ik heb haar nog steeds maar ik heb een Sony T5 erbij gekocht omdat het erg klein is en makkelijk overal mee te nemen. Ik heb trowens ook en Mamiya gekocht en 3 Praktica camera's met een aantal lensen. Meer in an email

Your work has taught me an appreciation for abstracts. It is not a form I enjoyed much before. However, yours have a vividness and life that captures my attention. I see a joy in them that I guess I never expected so much in this form. This one is vibrant and a treat for the eyes.

Hi Emgy. Maybe I should explain a little what I meant, by provocative. Often abstracts are pleasing to look at but really convey no special meaning to me. I sort of had the feeling with this one that it was representing something specific but could not quite figure out for sure just what. In that way it aroused my curiosity and interest. Does this help resolve your puzzled feeling as to the comment? Did you have anything in mind or just like the interesting appearance of the image? Del.

Yes, I understand what you mean. Pretty clear explaination. The moment I noticed this particular pattern of the old paint, my mind associated it to something specific. It wasn't as much the interesting appearance as the feel. This image is very special to me.

Yes, I'm sure you're surrounded by much natural beauty. Oregon must be a fantastic state to live in. I noticed that you have many beautiful nature photos in your portfolio. It's very nice of you to share them with us. I like nature shots too and have many of them. Although I'm more attracted by little, apparently insignificant things and often by what doesn't catch the eye right away, I like all types of photos. Regardless the subjects and the way they are captured, I love the images that fascinate me in some way or other or that convey the special feel that gives food for thoughts.
