Wow, I get to be the first to comment on an Aniko Heart photo! Yippeeee!
I don't know why this has such a mid-eastern feel to it... maybe it is hat. But I sure like this in black and white. Great capture, my fine friend.

Thank you for your appreciation of this image. Yep, I think the middle eastern feel has something to do with the hat. This guy has really long hair and has to tuck it under a hat when he shaves... just in case. I like to do photo-journalist work sometimes. To me, this is what this image is.

I prefer this kind of portrait (maybe your are jumping on your chair now, lol). Less production, less apparatus...
More natural expressions, and much more natural now, because the model, your feiend, is at his home. Nothing more natural than that.

What do you mean that I'm jumping on my chair???
Oh, I LOVE doing this type of work, but it is not always called for you know! I like reality and candids or people just going about daily life. This guy has no probs with allowing me to photograph his home "routines". I have pictures of him chopping wood, just talking to me like as in an interview it appears... very social documentary. But I also have more "glam" shots that he wanted as part of his portfolio.
I will dig out some more natural images and post them. They are in B&W as a general rule. And usualy of men who seem less worried about if they have a hair out of place... LOL!
