About As I was taking pictures of a green little stream, this guy came right under my nose and started drinking water... I haven't even noticed him when he poped right on my screen and all I had to do was focus and shoot:) He drank his fill, then he climbed up a tree and he was gone.
The picture is totally unretouched, other than rezizing and sharpening.

Very nicely done. Shame little guy would not come in enough to get his whole body. Very pretty.

Marlyce, Jan, Benedetto, thanks a lot!

I tried to take pictures of squirrels many times before but one little movement and they're gone. So I guess I was really lucky that he did not notice me at all; maybe he thought I was a rock or a tree. Either way, it worked :)

wonderful capture, great colors, details and contrast, very nicely done. Many wonderful pics since my last visit Hanna, just missing time to put comment on all, but be sure you make great captures. Hope I have more time to take looks in the future.

Hi Hanna,

Fine view ! Compliments. In general, it is not so easy to shoot such an image. Besides that composition and colors are great ! The squirrel image is alson very bright and sharp. So, an excellent result. My rating: 7+

Wish you all good my friend, and see you,
Albert

Beautiful! Love the clarity, the composition . . . and the water. Only advice would be to even out the framing around it. Nice work!

Hi Hanna,
the thumbnail didn't do this pîcture any good being to small in order to see what is was about.
So I opened the photo and was overwhelmed by a very colourfull and detailed picture.
Very well done, I'll browse your beautifull portfolio in the next few days.
Grtz,
Alain

Your squirrel photo beats mine. I had to run after little fella about 10 mins though :) Good capture.

Hanna Segal   {K:13469} 12/15/2006

One of my friends saw the thumbnail and asked me if it was a rat. So I guess the tumbnail wasn't too much help in this case:)
Thanks a lot for being supportive Alain. I love browsing through your images, too. In fact, you have a link in my favourites.

What great luck for this to happen with the stream and rock background having such good color. A great shot!
