About I need help here. I'm contemplating entering this photo without the border and words (my fav. thing about this photo) in a contest about silence. Does it work?
just a bit of dodging on the front swing in this.
This is cheating but the bottom is read "Happy sad good bad"

An interesting shot!

In my honest opinion, no. I find it hard to get by the the lack of sharpness, for one thing. I don't know if that was intentional. But also, I think the strong contrasting horizontal line in the background formed by the border of the snow and the grass is very distracting. I'm tempted to say it might have worked better if you shot from above a bit to eliminate this, or just recreated it at a different time of year without the snow. I would have suggested cropping the top, but I think that makes the swings too short.

Hope the honest feedback helps you decide what to do.

not sharp, if you meant this that is just bad photography, the image with the words doesn't tell me anymore than without the words, the image is too busy, the image doesn't say silence

Many people have commented on the sharpness of this photo and I forgot to mention that I took this at the end of the day when the sun had just set without the use of a tripod and the front swing swinging. These factors probably created the lack of sharpness.

i like the idea. if i were to be super nit picky, i would say i don't like the font. But the mood surrounding the photo is heavy.. and truthfully i think the focus works well.
