Good composition and colours, but heavily underexposed under the horizontal stone ..

like floating in air
but too heavy to get lifted by the strongest storm in a ten thousand years
to last in your memory

Awesome ! Wonder how this massive rock came to be where it is . Very nice composition !

Hi Sarah. A very good shot. I like how you've managed to get the tree centred between the stones. Pentre Ifan?..I am not familiar with this site..I have 'been about' ( ;-)) )in your beautiful part of the country and not come across it..could you please tell me where this is? My e-mail address is storm.bringer@ntlworld.com...I would appreciate it...I love these old sites. A very good image. Well done. Rob

This one is really lovely Sarah. The framing of the tree is very creative.

I am always happy to see your pic. I still have Jenny?s Pic on the wall. Oh I forgot. I scanned it, and made a Poster out of it. I also wrote your name boldly on it. :-)

Sarah, by the ratings it seems everyone likes this one more. I still prefer the B&W from that other angle. It seems to have more perspective on the stones. Plus I think the colours are not really saturated here and maybe B&W works better. The thing I do like is the framing with the stones and the tree in between. I just feel that more colour would make it stand out beautifully.

Good to see you back, (I forgot to add you to my friends so missed the last post).
I cant decide which I prefer (colour/BW). I like the very natural looking colours here, but the totally black underside of the rock detracts a bit. Did you take this with flash at all?
H:)

Sarah Needham   {K:2482} 4/29/2003
Thanks to everyone for the lovely comments.

I didn't use flash, and agree about the blackness under the stone.
On the print there is a bit more detail in the black area, pity I couldn't get this across in the scan.

Sarah

How about getting on your tummy... and focus on the underside... of the horizontal rock and the reshoot...

otherwise this gives me an idea for this weekend at the farm... for a folly

thank you
