Beautiful light Shirley, the colours in these iris are gorgeous. Is that your hand holding the stems or a vase? I personally would crop it out, but the composition of this is lovely. What do you use for your black backgrounds, or are they applied from software after? I am posting a shot soon where I have had to burn out the entire background and I think it's a bit dodgy.

Oh, and the black background is a Velux blanket...like velvet, but completely machine washable and dryable. I have them in several colors just for this purpose.:)
