Hi Kes, beautiful landscape.
Warm tone and color...I like the reflection of clouds, we don't see the cloudy sky but we can see it from reflections ...Cool!

All the best,
Khayala

Kes     {K:18710} 10/8/2006

Ohhh...hmmm my God! What a pretty scene in sepia with
gorgeous details. Very well choosed tonal range, as You
know my favourite tone is the sepia! Excellent, looks
like a vintage landscape from the past. The reflections
are so impressive, it gives a special atmosphere!
Very well captured work my friend! Went to my favs.
Bravooo 7/7!

Have a great week end dear Kes!

Thanks so much for your wonderful comment, Robert! This was taken about 20 years ago. I returned to the place this spring, and it was overgrown with cattails....but it is still a nice place, it just looks different now!

All the best,
Kes

Linda Bique   {K:74033} 10/8/2006

stingRay part 2 .   {K:151649} 10/9/2006
Excellent toning to this thoughtfully laid out composition my dear Kes. Fits well into the project my friend. The reflections are stunning and it is difficult to see where they start and reality begins. Superb work. All the best....Ray:)

Hanggan Situmorang   {K:37824} 10/9/2006
Excellent composition and mood captured here, Kes. Beautiful!

Andre Denis   {K:56160} 10/12/2006
A nice little reverse presentation of the clouds Kes! Why bother to include the sky when you have it in the water anyway :) Killing two birds with one stone :)
Andre

Kes     {K:18710} 10/13/2006
Hi Linda, thanks! It's a real nice place to visit. Lots of water spiders...

Kes     {K:18710} 10/13/2006
Thanks Ray. This is one of the shots found while rummaging through some boxes of negatives. Great fun! Cheers Pal, see you around! -Kes

Kes     {K:18710} 10/13/2006
Thanks Hanggan! I felt the original B&W was a little hard, and that the sepia tones softened up the shot.

Kes     {K:18710} 10/13/2006
Hi Andre! hmmm, I wonder how it would look upside down....

Andre Denis   {K:56160} 10/13/2006
Hi Kes,

It can be interesting :) I've done that before with reflections. Check this one out from around 1970/71. It's a slide. A night reflection of the Toronto City Hall in the melted ice rink out front. I thought I was being pretty artsy back then. I still get a kick out of it :)

There are three in the series called Down By The Henry Moore.

Ok, Andre, I'll check it out. I've been trying to figure out what shot to post and can't....so I'll go Down By The Henry Moore! :)

SKUNK!! Now I won't only think of snakes, but spiders too....LOL...nah, don't have to worry about those things in the ocean, but when I lived in Florida, I never went in the lakes because of the alligators and snakes...LOL. Behave yourself!! :) Lin

Mary  Jane   {K:5841} 10/15/2006
Nice composition.Well i know cloud nine is color brown and i can see the reflections of clouds into the water and lastly i felt in cloud nine when i pass my licensure exam:).But i guess when u look into this area and captured it u thought of cloud nine:).Have a good day!

Wow, great shot! Perfect for the Peace and Tranquility project... the water is so still, looks like a glass mirror! The coloring and clarity is just amazing too... you did a great job with this, just awesome! I love it... very well done :)
~Rachel~

Beautiful image especially with the cloud reflection in the left corner. It adds dimension. I also have a Canon A-1. I will never part with it. I bought it in 1979 to take photos of my newborn daughter..Rick
